Morse Microelectronics Launches Wi-Fi HaLow System-on-Chip (SoC) with Ultra-Low Power Consumption and Long-Distance Connectivity.
Morse Microelectronics is a leading Wi-Fi HaLow fabless semiconductor company, revolutionizing IoT connectivity with award-winning technology. Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, the company is committed to driving the adoption of next-generation long-range, low-power Wi-Fi HaLow solutions. Morse Microelectronics' advanced MM6108 and the latest MM8108 and MM8102 chips provide the fastest, smallest, lowest power, and longest-range Wi-Fi HaLow connectivity on the market.
Morse Microelectronics announced the launch of the MM8102 at the International Embedded World in Nuremberg, Germany, with the following features:
* Compliance: The MM8102 is optimized for the European, Middle Eastern and African markets, supports 1MHz and 2MHz bandwidths, has 16dBm EIRP, and fully supports duty cycle restrictions to comply with EU wireless connectivity regulations.
* Low-power operation: Optimized for battery-powered applications, significantly extended sleep time, and extremely low power consumption in sleep mode.
* Provides the highest performance: Supports 256-QAM modulation, with a burst throughput of up to 8.7Mbps at 2MHz bandwidth, providing excellent connectivity performance for the European, Middle Eastern and African regions.
* Supports EU duty cycle: Full support for burst and average duty cycle meets EU regulatory requirements, with an average throughput of up to 867kbps at a 10% duty cycle for access points and an average throughput of up to 243kBps at a 2.8% duty cycle for IoT stations.
As a low-power version of the MM8108, the MM8102 provides 1 MHz and 2 MHz bandwidths under 256-QAM modulation, with a throughput of up to 8.7Mbps, far exceeding the speed of LoRaWAN networks. The MM8102 Wi-Fi HaLow SoC uses the sub-GHz ISM band, and its coverage and signal penetration are superior to traditional 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz Wi-Fi networks. The MM8102 sets a new benchmark for high-speed, long-distance IoT connections in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, the MM8102 complies with European and global regulatory requirements, simplifying the development work of IoT device manufacturers.
